Success Journey of Shibh Al Jazira Contracting Company with Oracle

If we were to describe 2020 in a word, it would be “GHOST”, during the Covid-19 pandemic, as we adapted to remote work, we were determined to overcome the challenge and diligently conducted virtual meetings until we were able to resume our analysis sessions in person with the esteemed construction company, “Shibh Al Jazeria” Company.

Our story with SAJCO “Shibh Al-Jazeria Co.” is truly exceptional, marked by unique success factors, challenges, and the utilization of technology to deliver exceptional value to the construction industry. This is particularly challenging due to the industry’s susceptibility to global circumstances, political shifts, and currency fluctuations. Our target was delivering automated system that is designed to effectively manage all these factors and streamline the daily work of business users.

Comprehensive Approach to Business Transformation

Thorough analysis is the cornerstone of successful business transformation. We conducted an in-depth evaluation at every level of our client’s organization to develop a tailored architectural solution. Our collaborative partnership with the client fostered a flexible and efficient project management approach.
By implementing Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Self Service Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Qualifications, Maintenance, Inventory, Cost Management and Supply Chain Planning), Human Capital Management (Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Time and Labor, Talent Management and Recruitment Cloud), and Financials (Accounts Payable, Receivables, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Cash Management, Taxes and Expenses), Oracle Projects Cloud (Project Costing, Project Billing and Contracts, Project Execution Management and Project Resource Management),
we eliminated the need for paper-based processes, reduced manual labor, optimized system utilization, and decreased licensing costs. Through comprehensive user training and 24/7 support, we empowered employees to drive business success and achieve operational excellence.

Improve Business Agility

Our goal was to significantly improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. To achieve this, we initiated the second phase of our transformation by developing custom extensions designed to streamline workflows and seamlessly integrate with Oracle ERP. This approach maintained full automation of all processes.
We successfully created eight specialized extensions covering service procurement, customer contracts, forecasting, payment requests, expenses, expenditures, claims, and asset tracking using Visual Builder Cloud Service, APEX with and Oracle Integration Cloud. These solutions effectively addressed operational gaps and provided top management with real-time data for faster, more informed decision-making.

Mitigate Operational Risks

Bridge business gaps through process optimization and maximize performance by closing operational loopholes in Construction Model is very critical. Before diving into solutions, it was crucial to identify the core operational risks in the construction sector.
Project delays and cost overruns: These are often due to inefficient planning, resource allocation, and supply chain issues.
Quality control issues: Substandard materials, and non-compliance with regulations can lead to costly rework and reputational damage.
Safety hazards: Accidents and injuries can result in significant financial losses, legal liabilities, and project disruptions.
Financial risks: Economic downturns, cash flow problems, and contract disputes can threaten the viability of construction projects.
Supply chain disruptions: Material shortages, price fluctuations, and transportation challenges can impact project timelines and budgets.

Through diligent effort, we conquered challenges and optimized the organization’s performance by leveraging IT solutions to mitigate risks and improve the value chain.
